Premiere marks international collaboration The Mountain premiered to critical acclaim at the Kennedy Centre of Performing Arts, Washington DC, in September 2009. It marked a unique creative union between science, technology and art, amid a desire to raise public awareness of global warming. Performed in North America to music inspired by volcanoes on three different continents, it also marked a significant international research collaboration aimed at saving human lives, enabled by the GÉANT network and its connections to other research and education networks around the world. >>more
